Berufsakademie Sachsen is actively committed to internationalization in teaching, learning and transfer-oriented research.
In a world that is growing together, which does not stop at the borders of the European Union but connects the entire globe in the course of globalization, internationalization will become even more important in the future, especially in higher education. Therefore, it is essential to expand existing partnerships and structures and to open up new ways of international cooperation for the special situation of cooperative studies. This is the only way to meet the demands placed on a university of cooperative education, especially with regard to the requirements of our practice partners. Since the merger of the seven state study academies into Berufsakademie Sachsen, our international cooperation has developed in a positive way. In addition, various players at Berufsakademie Sachsen are constantly striving to establish reasonable new contacts, thus expanding cooperation options for students and teaching staff in terms of both quantity and quality and filling them with life.
Lived intercultural diversity and tolerance at our seven locations is the prerequisite for the internationalization of Berufsakademie Sachsen. We make it possible for students and lecturers to spend time abroad and will significantly increase the number of mobile students and lecturers in the near future. International scientists are just as welcome at the seven locations of Berufsakademie Sachsen as students from our international partner universities, be it within the scope of research internships at our locations or as an intern at one of our practice partners. As part of the "internationalization at home" initiative, our websites are gradually being offered in English as well. There are also individual courses in English in appropriate degree programs. Various degree programs offer the possibility to take an (elective/compulsory elective) module to promote intercultural competence as a preparation for a stay abroad.
With a good international network and with the support of the LEONARDO office Saxony, we are happy to advise and inform you about the following mobility options:
- Students who wish to spend a practical phase of their studies abroad within or outside the European Union (outgoing)
- international prospective students who would like to spend an exchange semester or their entire studies with us (incoming)
- We support full-time and part-time teaching staff planning a stay abroad (e.g. language course) or wishing to teach at a partner institution (Staff Mobility)
