The directors of Berufsakademie Sachsen were awarded their certificates of reappointment by the Saxon State Ministry for Science and the Arts in Dresden.

Chemnitz University of Technology and Berufsakademie Sachsen agreed on a closer cooperation to secure the availability of professionals and retain them in the region. This includes a more intensive collaboration in the areas of in-service academic training and the transfer between science and economy as well as society. Prof. Dr. Uwe Götze, representative of the rector and Prorector for Transfer and Further Education at Chemnitz University and Technology, and Prof. Dr. Andreas Hänsel, President of Berufsakademie Sachsen, signed the corresponding cooperation agreement in June.

Die Staatliche Studienakademie Plauen startete im Jahr 1999 mit 34 Studenten. 20 Jahre später werden mehr als 350 Studierende in 5 Studiengängen unterrichtet - ein Grund zum Feiern!

On 14 June 2019, Berufsakademie Sachsen, together with various practice partners and student representatives, organized ERZDual, an education fair with laser show and DJ to introduce BA Sachsen’s cooperative degree courses.

For several years, Prof. Dr. Andrij Luntovskyy has maintained close relations with colleagues in Ukraine. In February 2019, Berufsakademie Sachsen and Lvivska Polytechnika signed a letter of intent. Last week, Prof. Dr. Mykhailo Klymash and Dr. Mykola Beshlei from the Institute of Telecommunication came to Dresden to expand cooperation.

Am 16. Mai 2019 veranstaltete die Berufsakademie Sachsen gemeinsam mit der IHK Chemnitz unter dem Motto „Dual International – Potentiale für Praxispartner der Berufsakademie Sachsen“ einen ersten internationalen Fachtag mit Vertretern aus Wirtschaft, Wissenschaft und Politik.

For a long time, Berufsakademie Sachsen has made efforts to be listed as an approved foreign university by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China. Talks were held at the Chinese Embassy’s Education Department on 3 May 2019 to coordinate requirements and further targeted measures. The Embassy was represented by Envoy Counsellor Dr. LIU Lixin as well as First Secretary FENG Ylping and Second Secretary Dr. CHEN Zheng. Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Andreas Hänsel and Ilona Scherm, Consultant for Knowledge and Technology Transfer and International Affairs went to Berlin as representatives of Berufsakademie Sachsen. They were accompanied by SUN Jianan from Hefei German Representative Office, a long-standing practice partner of Berufsakademie Sachsen.
